Biography
Hello world, my name is Mike and I hope to be your travel advisor! Right now, you’re probably asking “who is this guy and why should he be the one to plan my next vacation?”
Growing up in the Midwest, my youth was filled with travel to many interesting places around the country. I have lived in Connecticut, Indiana, and Illinois and have traveled to 44 of the 50 states. At present, I have visited close to 40 of the 62 national parks in America—some more than once. Travel has been a passion of mine throughout my whole life. The first trip I planned on my own was a bus trip to
Chicago to watch the Cubs play. At 17, I chartered the bus, bought a block of tickets, figured out the per person cost, marketed, and sold the trip so I could travel with my family to watch a baseball game for free. Ever since that trip, I have been dreaming up epic vacations and plugging all the details into a spreadsheet to log the associated expenses and supplier information.
In addition to my extensive domestic travel, I have also visited 10 countries personally and have planned vacations for clients on all 7 continents. While my knowledge of the travel world is not exhaustive, it is extensive. The quote that is my mission statement exemplifies my passion for travel and my innate curiosity about the world. I love to learn about new cultures and their history and then experience what I have read about. Throughout my adult life I have had careers in Healthcare, Food Service as a Chef, Hospitality as a Hotel Manager, and now I am realizing my dreams and achieving my life goals as a travel agent. In all my career paths, an acute attention to detail and my ability to stay calm under pressure have shaped my unparalleled customer service skills. My background and interests provide me with a unique perspective on designing an unforgettable experience for you.
My specialties are group travel, LGBTQ+ travel, honeymoons, complicated itineraries, custom tours, full independent travel, and much more!
Thinking about visiting Utah’s “Big 5” national parks but feeling overwhelmed. I can take the stress out of planning this epic adventure drawing upon extensive research and first hand experience to create an itinerary worthy of these magical destinations.
Visit Chicago and stay at the Palmer House Hotel where you can be transported through history with the timeless décor and their 130-year-old brownie recipe. Dating back to the 1893 World’s Fair held in Chicago, The Palmer House Brownie is the first documented recipe for this decadent desert.
